My journey began in 2009, trading a 12+ year career in international universities and business schools for the adventure of a globally mobile life.

It’s been a wild ride, which has shown me both the exhilarating highs and the messy realities of a globally mobile life. 16 years. 9 countries. Albania. Cameroon. Burkina Faso. Zambia. Uganda. Senegal. Seychelles. India. Now settled in France.

I’ve navigated toxic workplaces, life-altering job losses, and the kind of reinvention that breaks you before it builds you. And I’ve helped 1,000+ clients find their way through their own career crises, cross-border moves, and messy pivots. 

My lived experiences broke me at times. Yet, it also taught me: there is always a career solution when you own your story, know your value, and make sure the world knows exactly what you’re looking for.

So, What's My Story?

The Personal Side


I didn’t choose career coaching. It chose me.

I was the 14-year-old in the Netherlands, bullied for an easily deformed last name and bright turquoise trousers.

I was the unofficial career advisor for my high school and university friend groups, helping them pick majors and rewrite CVs while ignoring the official counselors.

I was the one who could see their genius before they could.

At 29, when I was offered “Career Coaching” as a staff benefit, everything clicked. “Wait. People get paid to help others translate their messy realities into high-value professional lives? I hadn’t been lost. I’d been in training!”

I spent the next 3.5 years earning my coaching certification through CoachU, attending 2AM online classes, nursing two newborns, on internet that dropped out more than it worked.

A few personal things for you to know:

  • Born in Canada, raised across the Netherlands, the Caribbean, and the US. Now settled in France with my French-Finnish husband, two teenagers, and two strong-willed dogs.
  • I taught 500+ children across Africa to swim. Quite a few became school champion swimmers.
  • I still feel imposter syndrome when advising senior executives. And I do it anyway.
  • I drink Mediterranean rosé even when it’s freezing outside.
  • I love the feeling of the wind in my hair as I reach the peak of a mountain.
  • Dancing to Latin and African rhythms is my way of celebrating life.
  • Cherished memories: exploring the Balkans by public transport, wearing my turquoise wedding dress in 3 countries, a sunrise hot air balloon flight over Murchison Falls NP in Uganda, learning to surf with my boys in Senegal, and our Indian train adventure.

When I’m not coaching, you’ll find me exploring the Jura Mountains, Alps or lakeside, searching for the world’s best latte macchiato or authentic Asian cuisine, playing board games with my boys, or curled up with a good book.
